Industrial grade oxygen is commonly used with a fuel gas for cutting, welding, brazing and soldering as it supports combustion and gives a much higher flame temperature than if air was used. For cutting with oxygen an oxy-fuel flame preheats the steel to its ignition temperature further to which gaseous oxygen flows onto the red-hot steel, generating more heat and melting the steel. This product can be used for other applications also.
Argon
Commonly used when TIG welding stainless steel and carbon steel, Argon is typically suitable for most TIG welding applications providing a capability of welding at any depth. The repair of alloy wheels, farming equipment, vehicle body panels, model work and metals used for aircraft are among many of Argons popular uses; however it is also used in many applications that you wouldn’t expect, such as filling the gap between your double glazing and the space in a light bulbs. Our argon cylinder is filled with high purity, high quality gas, enabling us to boast a minimum purity of 99.995%, giving you the best possible results.
Oxygen
Enermix 5 & Enermix 15
Enermix is ideally suited for MIG welding - Enermix 5 for particular sheet metal and thin sections of mild steel under 7 mm in thickness, such as car bodywork and light sheet work. Enermix 15 is better suited for heavier work up to 18 mm in thickness. Enermix is a blend of Argon, Carbon Dioxide and Oxygen gas mix. It is very easy to work with and provides a quality weld at minimum cost.
